What is a QR code?

QR code stands for ‘Quick Response code’ and is a way of visually encoding information that can be read by a mobile device or phone.

A QR code can be linked to an online location, providing a real-world connection to the virtual-world to view video, audio and other online content anywhere, anytime.

Simply download the QR reader app from your smartphone and you can begin snapping QR codes anywhere they appear, on products or posters, in magazines, and even on TV and computer screens.

How do I use QR codes?

Once you have installed the QR reader app onto your mobile device or smartphone, all you have to do is open the app and point your camera lens at the QR code.

The camera reads the QR code and then takes you to the online content that the QR code is linked to.
