Slow cooking has had a revival in recent years, and for good reason!
Slow food tastes better, the preparation is quick and easy and the results add up to great meal solutions for busy, hungry families. To keep up with this trend we have launched our innovative, new 'Slow Cookers' as a special, winter-only range.
The pre-cut and packaged top-quality vegetable and spice mix speeds up the time you spend in the kitchen by delivering nutritious and delicious hot cooked meals the minute you walk in the door. 'Slow Cookers' use the freshest, peeled vegetables and with perfectly matched fresh herbs and spices included in the packet - all the hard work is done for you! They are all natural with no preservatives or additives - just perfect to come home to after a blustery winter's day.
With two delicious varieties: European Style Vegetable Mix (with Pearl Barley & Seasoning) and Indian Style Vegetable Mix (with Lentils & Seasoning), our 'Slow Cookers’ range provides a great tasty vegetarian option or can be used as a complimentary side for meat lovers.

|
Before you leave the house, simply place one of the ‘Slow Cookers’ vegetables and spices packs into a crock-pot and add a few extra ingredients such as stock, meat (if desired), chopped tomatoes or beans*. Then you can just leave it to do its magic (no peeking - lifting the lid on a slow cooked meal increases cooking time). Stirring is not necessary. Serve with crusty bread or chutneys.
Recipes and chef tips for the ultimate slow cooking experience are included on our website or with each pack for just RRP$6.99. But be quick, the range is only available during winter, at your local Foodtown, Countdown and Woolworths stores!
*(Ingredients vary depending on recipe)

Take a Fresh Look
With a new-look krispkut™ website featuring recipes and tips for healthy, delicious meals, and new krispkut™ salad packaging in store at the beginning of May, we’ll have plenty to shout about again this year. Our first on-pack promotion for the decade was a huge success with winners from all corners of the country receiving beautiful picnic rugs and hampers. Keep your eyes peeled for more on-pack promotions during the year, as well as features in magazines like Foodtown, which recently featured krispkut™ in its “Ingredients for Success” section.
Sounds Delicious!
We hope you’ve met Richard Till, the star foodie featured on Progressive Enterprises’ Countdown, Woolworths and Foodtown supermarket “Smart Shopper” ads, as he’s been in stores around New Zealand demonstrating our krispkut™ salad bags and dressings. We reckon this Kiwi Kitchen chef giving us the thumbs up is a great start to the New Year. He was also singing our praises at the Ellerslie Flower Show recently in Christchurch, where we had a stand.
Kitchen Confidential
Are your friends always stealing your great ideas from the kitchen? Like your idea of using leftover spinach on a pizza, or whipping up a bit of pesto on the side? Bring those secret tips out into the open by sending us your best tip for entertaining and cooking. The tip deemed to be the best by the discerning krispkut™ team will win a set of salad bowl and servers.
Thanks for being part of our Lettuce Talk news. Look out for a second helping in the near future and have a great 2010.
